The RSM Classic 2021 odds: Is this (finally) the week Scottie Scheffler breaks through?

News

To say Scottie Scheffler has had a few close calls already in his young PGA Tour career is a massive understatement. Including his runner-up finish last week at the Houston Open, the former Texas Longhorn has now had 10 top-five finishes on tour since November 2019.

If recent history is any indication, that means Scheffler’s maiden win is a matter of when, not if. Abraham Ancer, Tony Finau and Sam Burns are all excellent recent examples of players who continually put themselves in contention before finally getting their first victory, or, in Finau’s case, his first in over five years.

Scheffler is a prime candidate to have a similar breakthrough win this week, though if you want to bet on that you’re going to have to pay up. With odds of 11-1, Scheffler is the solo favorite to win the RSM Classic at Sea Island, shorter odds than RSM Classic legend Webb Simpson, who is 12-1.

If scrolling past the favorites is your thing, you’ll find Louis Oosthuizen at a tempting 22-1 number, as well as Sea Island resident Harris English at 25-1. Kevin Kisner, who lost to Robert Streb in a playoff at the RSM last year and has already garnered plenty of betting attention, is 40-1.

Here are all the odds for the players at this week’s 2021 RSM Classic.
